Kidz to Adultz Scotland are back!
Join us in Edinburgh on Thursday 8th September 9.30am until 4.30pm, at The Royal Highland Centre, Lowland Hall. A free event dedicated to children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, and the people who support them.
Quote: Jeane Freeman, former Minister for Social Security: “Kidz to Adultz Scotland does an important job in bringing together disabled children and young adults, their parents, carers and other professionals to share the latest information on the support available, alongside a programme of professional development.” Kidz to Adultz Scotland 2017.
Featuring over 100 exhibitors, the show is a destination for the most up to date advice and information on a range of issues: mobility, funding, seating, beds, communication, continence, sensory, transition, education, housing, employment, accessible vehicles, transport, style, sports, leisure and more.
It is an opportunity to try out equipment, and get a feel for if it is right for you or your family member. Exhibitors will be showcasing their newest and most popular equipment, products and services, and visitors will have the opportunity to discuss their needs with the experts in the field. The event will also welcome a range of charities and non-profit services such as sports and education services.
A key part of the Kidz to Adultz exhibitions are specialist seminars on a wide range of topics such as toileting issues, autism, transition, seating and more. These sessions are suitable for parents and carers, as well as professionals working with children and young people with disabilities. The seminars are free and CPD accredited, contributing to professionals’ CPD portfolio and credits.
Children are welcome, and there will be an activity area, fun and features throughout the day.
