Both Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses will be hosting apprenticeship job fairs and information evenings during National Apprenticeship Week. The Cambridge Fair will take place at the Kings Hedges Road campus on Monday 4th March, with the Huntingdon Fair taking place at the California Road campus on Wednesday 6th March.
Leading regional employers will be attending to meet prospective apprentices and look for their new recruits across a range of professional disciplines and vocational career routes. Some of the exhibitors already confirmed include Anglia Ruskin University, Taylor Wimpey, Aqua Sana Centre Parcs, Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, JDR Cable Systems and many more.
The Apprenticeship Fairs are being held in March to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week. This annual celebration of apprenticeships is now in its 12th year and continues to celebrate the value and impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.
Cambridge Regional College is aiming to involve students, employers, partners and providers in a number of activities that highlight the benefits apprenticeships bring and the opportunities they present to individuals. Other events taking place at CRC during National Apprenticeship Week will include an apprenticeship ‘takeover dinner’ at The Park restaurant and the annual CRC Apprenticeship Awards ceremony.
CRC provides apprenticeships across a range of specialisms including business, management & leadership, digital marketing, engineering, construction, IT and computing, hair and beauty, catering and hospitality, logistics and supply chain, vehicle maintenance and science. CRC’s Apprenticeships Team will be available to answer queries during the Apprenticeship Fairs, such as how to apply, what an apprenticeship involves or facilitate further conversations with course area representatives to discover what a specific apprenticeship includes.
In addition to the College’s apprenticeship offering, Cambridge Regional College offers a wide range of full-time, part-time and higher education courses from Construction and Engineering to Media and Computing Technologies, with campuses in Huntingdon and Cambridge. It is rated amongst the top 5% of colleges in the country and the largest Apprenticeship provider in the Eastern Region.
