Kingpin Events is giving North West charities an early Christmas gift by inviting them to experience the magic of this year’s Winter Wonderland Manchester 2016 entirely free of charge.
This Christmas, the company is giving away £50,000 worth of free tickets to charities in the North West!
Festive extravaganza Winter Wonderland is the UK’s largest indoor Christmas theme park, and can be found at EventCity next to the Intu Trafford Centre in Manchester.
The attraction officially opens to the public on Saturday 10th December, but organisers Kingpin Events are hosting a special charity evening on Friday, 9th December.
Charities whose work specifically benefits children and their families; disadvantaged young people; and bereaved families are invited to apply for tickets.
The special preview session will take place on Friday, 9th December between 4.30pm and 8.30pm. Organisations must be a registered charity and based in the North West to be considered. The event is fully accessible.
Charities are invited to register their interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with details about the charity, registered charity number, their logo and the number of tickets they require. Charities will be chosen at random.
The closing date for applications is Friday 18th November and the successful charities will be notified via email by Friday, 25th November.
Tammy Silcock of Kingpin Events, the organiser of Winter Wonderland said: “We’re extremely excited about bringing the Winter Wonderland extravaganza back to the North West this Christmas – and we’re particularly looking forward to welcoming local charities for their preview evening.
“Last year’s charity evening proved a huge success and was very humbling for everyone involved. It was very special and our guests thoroughly enjoyed being the first visitors to enjoy the Winter Wonderland experience. If you are a registered charity and you would benefit from this festive treat then please get in touch.”
Winter Wonderland returns to EventCity for its fourth consecutive year from Saturday 10th December 2016 until Sunday 1st, January 2016.
Winner of the Best Family Day Out at the Raring 2 Go Awards 2015, The mammoth 22,000 sq m exhibition space at EventCity will be transformed in to an unbelievable wonderland extravaganza, featuring over 50 family rides and attractions all under one roof - including new rides for 2016 featuring a giant carousel, and all included in one ticket price.
As well as the rides, there will be a dazzling array of colourful shows including an exciting new addition for 2016 – a Christmas pantomime - Cinderella! There will also be a brand new Sci-Fi show, Christmas circus and a chance to meet the nation’s favourite fox – Basil Brush!
This year, there will be a Signing Santa who is inviting all the children to come and visit him in his house which he has transported all the way from the North Pole! Children will be enchanted by the Ice Princesses, Fairies and Elves who love to play and chat and have ‘s-elfies’ with the children.
Plus, if you are still pining for the summer, head to Salty Cove beach where you can build a sandcastle or enjoy a well-deserved rest in a deckchair! And you can meet the cuddly characters from Pip Ahoy! from Channel 5’s Milkshake!
There will also be a whole host of games stalls and a vast array of food and drinks stalls to purchase refreshments including hot snacks and sweet treats.
So don’t miss the Christmas event of the year at EventCity from 10 December 2016 – 1st January 2017.
REVIEWS FROM WINTER WONDERLAND CHARITY NIGHT 2015
“The children had an absolutely fantastic time made extra special by discovering that Father Christmas himself and his elf were deaf too! They were able to fully enjoy Elsa and Anna with the signing elf on stage with them and the huge range of rides and stalls and games were mesmerising for them! Lynn Chipperfield, Trafford Deaf Children's Society
“Our families were lucky enough to receive 80 tickets for the Winter Wonderland and it was a magical experience for all. Christmas is a very difficult time for many of our bereaved families and this evening brought some much-needed smiles!” Kelly Willison, Once Upon a Smile
“We’re so grateful to Winter Wonderland for staging this special charity evening. The youngsters that we support are all autistic and struggle to cope with crowds, queues and “babble”. The special evening meant that they were able to enjoy an activity that most other youngsters would take for granted and the feedback from their parents has been universally positive. I attended the event with my own son and he had a wonderful time – I really can’t thank you enough, on a personal level and on behalf of the families that we support.” John Corker, Chairman, Leisure for Autism
