The popular game-based learning programme SplashLearn announced the first UK edition of its massively popular SpringBoard Maths Challenge today. The maths competition is a calendar marked event and is highly anticipated by teachers across the US and Canada. SpringBoard Maths Challenge 2021 is open to all classes from Year 1 through Year 6 in the UK and will run from March 1 – May 9, 2021.
Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) has announced that its MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge will expand from the U.S. to include students from England and Wales. Starting in 2021, hundreds of sixth form students are expected to join U.S. high school junior and senior students in competing for more than £79,000 in scholarship prizes. A total of 37 monetary prizes are up for grabs.

UK charity Learning through Landscapes hosts international school grounds conference in 2020
National school grounds charity, Learning through Landscapes (LtL) is to host an international conference on outdoor learning and play in September 2020. In partnership with the International School Grounds Alliance, the event will feature practical workshops and sessions by outdoor learning and play experts from across the UK and beyond.

South Yorkshire based Cornerstones Education has launched a new online platform, Curriculum Maestro, designed specifically to meet the curriculum challenges faced by primary schools ahead of the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) which launches on 1 September 2019.
Cash for Kids has been named as the official charity partner of Galloway Country Fair for the third year running.
The Fair organisers have pledged to donate all of the takings from programme sales alongside any cash donations over the weekend, to raise vital funds to support the charity’s work throughout the local area.
Representatives from Westsound Cash for Kids will also be on site at this year’s event providing activities and competitions for children to take part in throughout the weekend.
